Institutions or individuals interested in the University of Minnesota Duluth New Music Festival are encouaged to contact the artistic director.
Since the Spring of 2000, the UMD Music Department has presented an annual New Music Festival which has included concerts by internationally renown performers and ensembles, including Duo Gastesi-Bezerra, Zeitgeist, the Verdehr Trio, and Duo46. Equally important aspects of these events have been lectures and masterclasses presented by the performers and the UMD Music faculty.
Recently, these festivals have included a Student and Faculty Composer Readings and Workshop. Students interested in the Music Composition program at UMD and the New Music Festival should contact Dr. Justin Rubin or the UMD Music Department for more information.
