It is ridiculous that the drinking age across the United States is 21. I believe the drinking age should be lowered to 18. The main reason this change should take place is because, when a person turns 18, many things happen to them. They are now a legal adult. They can be drafted, or enlist in the Army, Air Force, or Navy. They can go across seas to war, and die for their country, but when their military buddies have a drink, they can not partake in the festivities. The fact that the person can go die for their country, but can not order a beer is ridiculous. I know that those people apposed to lowering the drinking age will say that an 18 year old can bring alcohol into high schools, but honestly, when I was in high school, I could get alcohol at the drop of a hat if I wanted it. 18 year olds are going to drink, whether you lower the drinking age or not.
