One thing that I want to tell the entire incoming freshman class is that you should definitely try and respect the buildings that you live in. Whether it is the dorms, the suites, or the apartments you shouldn’t purposely damage them in any way. First of all, it is immature and stupid and secondly it is embarrassing for the rest of the people that live in the same building. Take it from me in the first 7 weeks that I have been here the cops have been to my apartment buildings every weekend and our apartments are known around campus as “Drunk Town”. I am not trying to tell any one not to drink or anything I am just saying that you shouldn’t break anything or goof around in your buildings too much because then it can draw attention to where you live and that could ruin it for everyone else that lives there. Say that you are throwing a ball around in the hallways and it accidentally hits a fire sprinkler. That hit to the one sprinkler head will cause all the other sprinklers to be set off and pretty soon you’ve flooded the entire building ruining other people’s personal things. You won’t make many friends doing that kind of stuff. So just be careful and respectful when it comes to your residence on campus.
