Dining Center

The Dining Center was designed to provide Univeristy of Minnesota-Duluth students with food so that we do not have to cook everything on our own. The cost is not by any means inexpensive at $5.50+tax for a walk-in breakfast, $6.75+tax for lunch and $8.00+tax for dinner. This gives you all you can eat, but for less than that price you can get a burrito at Chipotle and a drink as well. The bigger issue other than price is the meager quality and taste of the food. Just a quick example is the Italian Dippers meal. These dippers were actually just hot dog buns with cheese melted on top with minimal effort to hide the fact that they were hot dog buns. Now I am not saying I'm not appreciative of the Dining Center, I am thankful that it is there. I just hope for an improvement in the quality or a price drop for the meals. The UMD "DC" may be convenient, but be sure to have alternative meals readily available for college.
