Are you considering moving to Duluth Minnesota to attend school? Well if you are allow me to enlighten you the one reason why you shouldn't make Duluth Minnesota your home for college. Before you even consider making this decision ask yourself one question, how important is good weather to you? If one is prepared to move to Duluth then one must be prepared to experience some very bad weather. Duluth Minnesota's erratic weather patterns can be attributed to the Lake Effect created by Lake Superior. This lake effect causes Duluth temperatures to be anywhere from 10-15 degrees colder than in the Twin Cities. When winter season rolls around be prepared to scrap up to sometimes an inch of ice off your car windshield, and also prepared to have to start your automobile atleast fifteen minutes before actually driving it anywhere. When the snow begins to fall more than likely you will have to shovel your car out of the snow mound that has formed around it in your driveway. Don't worry though by the time your finished doing that you'll only be fifteen minutes late to class. So when your thinking about where you want to attend University go to Florida.

Cons of living in Duluth

People in Duluth do not like college students because they don’t want there town to be a “college town”.
Because Duluth is on Lake Superior we get what is called the “lake effect” which makes it quite cooler and there is a lot more precipitation. In Duluth there are very cold and long winters, because of the precipitation there is a lot of snow as well.
Because people do not like college students in Duluth they are trying to pass renter laws that say you can only have a certain number of tenants in a house. Also you can only have one rental unit in so much distance.
Another con about living in Duluth for college students are the dry campus rules which say that you cannot have or drink alcohol on campus
