SpEd 5435 Course Expectations

Course expectations:

You will come prepared to class having read the assigned materials and prepared for class discussion.
You will attend all course meetings. If you do need to miss a class - please inform the instructor prior to absence in writing via hardcopy or email I would expect any assignment due on the date you will be absent to be turned in early - not late. In the event of illness or unexpected absence, please see the instructor as soon as possible.
You will bound by professional ethics and standards (i.e., confidentiality of classroom discussion, practicum sites and student/client contacts).
Enthusiastic participation in all activities.
All assignments turned in on the designated due dates will be stapled together - NOT IN PLASTIC BINDERS. Please number your pages and remember to include your name, date and assignment or project title. Also it is critical that you keep copies of your assignments on a word file - so if something happens, you will have access to the assignments.
Written assignment will be on a collegiate level with the expectations of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofread.
Assignments that are turned in for this class are EXPECTED to be developed for this class.
You will use APA style on all assignments unless specified in class.
Your classroom behavior and professional behaviors are indicative of your professional disposition - dispositions are an integral part of being a special education professional, thus inappropriate behaviors may lead to consequences that directly relate to your continuation in the special education licensure program.
