History 1305: U.S. History Part II: 1877- Present

History Colloquium Assignment
Spring 2006

Throughout the semester, the History Department will approve some presentations as qualifying for colloquium credit (Hist 3505). You are to attend one of these presentations and write a one-page, typed, double-spaced summary of the session, what insights you gained into history from it, and your evaluation of it. Was it worthwhile? How could it have been better? Generally, most activities that History Club sponsors count for colloquium credit, but other presentations are likely to be added. When I have dates, times, and locations for these and other approved events, I’ll announce the information in class and send everyone emails. While this assignment isn’t due until April 27th at 4:00, you are encouraged to turn it in early. It is worth a maximum of 25 points. Five (5) points will be subtracted for each calendar day the assignment is late. It will be graded and returned by May 4th.
