Business Insights: Essentials
When you look up a company in "Business Insights: Essentials," note that the tabs offer various information bits on each company. Select the "Financials" tab, and then select the 'Ratios" tab to see the ratios. Using this database, you can also compare ratios among competitors or selected companies.

Mergent*
Provides business and financial information for 23,000 U.S. and international companies. Financials for 15 years, balance sheets, income statements "as reported" and can be downloaded to spreadsheet company overview, financial ratios, and IS OUR BEST SOURCE FOR COMPANY ANNUAL REPORTS.

Research Insight (also known as "Compustat")
The Research Insight contains twenty years of financial data, including a wide variety of financial ratios. It is not a web site, but rather a networked CD-ROM. This databases is available on computers on UMD Library's second floor. It can also be downloaded to computers in faculty offices and in computer labs that are connected to the UMD Office Server. Research Insight is not available for remote users off campus.
