Every year Kathy and Jen spend a few days in the BWCA fishing and reading and canoeing and nature-watching. This year it was August 9-13th. Weather was great...little rain and not much wind to speak of. In a break with tradition, the smallmouth bass were not biting but we managed to eat fish for dinner every night anyway. Note the solo canoe in the middle of the lake with no paddlers. Always remember to secure your canoe when cleaning your fish at some remote island or plan to take a swim to retrieve it. All in all, a great trip. Heard a lone wolf howling at the moon one night. That is all. Enjoy the pictures.
