Kathy's "Spring Break" 2008

Every March Kathy enjoys a little "break" from classes. Many folks head south or to warmer climates but not Kathy . She is all about enjoying "winter" or what is often left of it. The last few years she has enjoyed the solitude of the cabin near Brimson, Minnesota. This year she was joined by her dog, Alfred ("Alffie"). Here are a few pictures of Kathy in her own winter wonderland.

On Tuesday kathy ventures out with her neighbor, Fran, on a little snowshoe adventure to see some big white pines....

Fran found a dead fox that she is saving, also some bones and various other interesting items from the woods. Here you also get to see interior shots of both Kathy and Fran's cabins. By the end of the trek, temps in the high 30's!
