
Definition: In the context that it relates to reproductive rights abortion refers to the voluntary, or induced, termination of pregnancy generally through the use of surgical procedures or drugs. As a result birth does not take place.
Problem:Abortion is seen as a moral issue by many religious and political organizations. Some groups view it as murder, others as a woman’s right. Therefore it’s use as a method of family planning is restricted in many areas.
