Hi All,
I hope everyone had a successful ski season. You don't have to wait until next season to get the "adrenaline rush" of flying down the hill to the scene of an accident. You can experience a true adrenaline rush when someone orders 6 ears of corn, 6 brats, and 6 pops. WOW!! All that excitement and you're not even on skis.
Ski patrolling isn't just about your 12 days at the ski hill. It's the comraderie that you share with your fellow patrollers and you too can experience that in the summer!!
Seriously, the Fisherman's Picnic in Grand Marais is our only fundraiser of the year and it is necessary income for the awards, training and our radios.
Please mark Thursday, July 30th through Sunday, August 2nd, 2009 on your calendars. This is a great opportunity to get together as a group. Also, the last few years, we've had very nice weather.
For those you have helped out in the past, I thank you and hope to count on your presence again. If you haven't ever been there, give it a try and help out for a day or two.
Give me a call (218-525-9486) or e-mail me (steske@cpinternet.com) with any questions or comments you may have.
Thanks in advance,
Steve Teske
