Fall image of the campus The Center for Advocacy and Political Leadership has been established on the UMD campus for many reasons. One is that it attracts and has already accepted many Duluth students into its program. Duluth has a history of activism and grassroots organizing. With Dean Linda Krug's enthusiastic support, MAPL also complements UMD’s College of Liberal Arts programs. UMD also has many amenities for a small campus atmosphere, perfect for a cohort program, not to mention the beauty of Duluth.
