A maximum of 15 people are accepted for each Cohort.
Admission tests are not required at MAPL

    New Student Orientation: Twin Cities: August 30, 2009, Duluth: September 3rd, 2009

Spring 2010 (First class: January 22, 2010)

    Early Acceptance Deadline: 4:30 pm, August 15th, 2009 (notified by Sept 15th)

Additional materials needed to complete your application
  1. Unofficial transcript from the college from which you graduated: transcripts may be faxed to 218.726.6780, mailed to the MAPL office, or emailed to maplapps@d.umn.edu.
  2. A $30 application fee: you may pay this fee online on the link on this page or the page after you submit this electronic application. You may also send a $30 check or money order made out to the "University of Minnesota" and mailed to MAPL, 112 Cina Hall, 1123 University Drive, Duluth, MN 55812.
  3. Two letters of recommendation from persons (other than relatives and personal acquaintances) addressing why you would be a good candidate for admission to the MAPL program: the letters may be sent electronically to maplapps@d.umn.edu or faxed to 218.726.6780. The letters must come from the e-mail address of your recommender or on their letterhead.
  4. A one page (300 words or less) statement about what you hope to get out of the MAPL program (e-mailed to maplapps@d.umn.edu).
