Ellen Clark has spent 25 years in nonprofit management. She is currently the Executive Director of Altered Tails, an animal welfare organization in Phoenix, Arizona that specializes in low cost spay/neuter services for companion cats and dogs.  Ellen joined Altered Tails in 2011 to create an environment of fiscal responsibility, financial accountability, and to change the organization’s culture.  Prior to joining Altered Tails, Ellen was with the Wisconsin Humane Society for 10 years where she held the positions of Director of Operations, Deputy Director, and Interim Executive Director.  Her first nonprofit experience came at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center where she was the Assistant Director for 12 years.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in Art History.

Ellen will be speaking in Linda Krug's class, Political and Advocacy Leadership. It is the second of the core classes in the MAPL program.
