Emily Larson is in her third year of public service as a Duluth City Councilor. Prior to her election, she was active in managing two political campaigns and volunteer for dozens of others. A native of St. Paul, she has become a true Twin Ports resident, with an undergraduate degree from St. Scholastica, a graduate degree from UMD and a current teaching contract with UW-Superior. Emily is passionate about creating community-based change and enjoys a varied professional life which includes self-employment as a non profit consultant focused on workforce development issues. A Duluth Economic Development Authority Commissioner, Emily also serves as the Council conduit to Parks & Recreation and Libraries, and sits on the Great Lakes Aquarium and Visit Duluth Boards of Directors. In her spare time, Emily enjoys running, snowboarding and spending time with her partner and school aged sons.
