This website was created for Michael J Gabler, an Instructor
at the University of Minnesota Duluth, UMD, by S.
Zair A. Jafri, a BBA student at UMD, as an entry into the
UMD Web design competition, for which it won first prize. Zair is a business student who likes
to design websites as a hobby. The website was created mainly
to be used as a course website for the course EdSe 4120 Middle
school philosophy and organization.
The website was made from scratch without using any templates. The site has been tailored to be relevant and customized such that all the raw material that was used to build the website including the quotes and pictures comes from the albums and scrap books created or collected by Mr. Michael Gabler and his students over the years.
The website was constructed using Dream weaver software and applies Cascading Style Sheets. In order to keep the website as simple as possible to update, Zair has created a basic template for the pages on the website which can be used to add to or update the web site with minimum effort.
