TH 1601

Software Presentation

1. Choose software. Select a type of software useful to a professional stage manager and report your selection to the instructor before the due date listed on the syllabus. Software can be something suggested by the instructor or something you've discovered on your own.

2. Familiarize yourself with the main features of the software. Software can be either PC or Macintosh, but the instructor can provide support for Mac software only.

3. Submit one page handout to the instructor. Handout will be photocopied for the class. Handout should include useful information such as price, pertinent web sites, and where the software can be ordered. Information should also speak to specific needs of the stage manager and how the functions of this software could address those needs. Include examples to illustrate the functions discussed.

3. Demonstrate the software to the class. In a 10-15 minute presentation, demonstrate the features of the software to the class and indicate how it might be used in a stage management situation. Demonstration must use a computer projector. PC and Macintosh laptops can be checked out from Kirby Plaza 175 for $12.00 per day.
