Software/Technology Innovation Presentation

1. Choose software or technological innovation. Select a type of software or technological innovation that would be useful to a professional stage manager, and report your selection to the instructor before the due date listed on the syllabus. Software or technology could be something suggested by the instructor or something you've discovered on your own.

2. Familiarize yourself with the main features of the software. Software could be shareware, phone ap, PC protocol or Macintosh protocol. Technological innovations could be hardware demonstated for the class, or through a visual tutorial.

3. Submit one page presentation outline to the instructor. Outlines will be photocopied and distrubuted to the class. The outline should include useful information such as price, pertinent web sites, and where the software or hardware can be ordered. Information should also address specific needs of the stage manager, and how the software/hardeware could address those needs. Include examples to illustrate software/hardware functions discussed.

4. Demonstrate the software/hardware for the class. In a 10-12 minute presentation, demonstrate features of the software/hardware you have chosen for the class and indicate how it might be used in a stage management situation. Demonstrations may require projected imagery, so please make advanced arrangements to ensure methods used to demonstrate the software/hardware work properly.
