Design: Students interested in serving specific UMD Theatre productions as a designer, can receive one or two credits for their work. Unlike 1000 level practicum courses, Theatre: Special Projects is not based strictly upon the number of hours a students puts into the production, but how well they execute the responsibilities of the position they accept. All design positions require certain levels of expertise, and are arranged through the faculty. Futher information concerning each of these positions is available in the Theatre Department Handbook pages 50-60.

Directing: Students who have been accepted to direct one of the Stage 2 theatre productions, or to serve as an assistant director for a UMD Theatre production are eligible to enroll in this course.

Due to the unique demands of each UMD Theatre & Stage 2 production, students interested in enrolling in Theatre: Special Projects must first arrange specific duties with faculty before seeking overrides for the course.
