Course Objectives:
1. To explore light as a creative medium.
2. To develop a methodology for playscript analysis from a lighting design point of view.
3. To communicate lighting concepts through light labs, storyboards, and graphic presentations.
4. To draft a light plot.
5. To develop appropriate paperwork necessary to execute theatrical lighting designs.

Attendance Policy: Role will be taken each day. Without prior arrangement, each absence beyond five will result in the lowering of the final grade.

Grading Policy:
Late projects are not accepted. Any project submitted late will recieve a grade of 0. Demonstrated progress, made evident during class work periods, may qualify the project for late penalty waiver.
All assignments are to be submitted as hard paper copies. Assignments submitted electronically will be lowered one full letter grade per assignment.
