Current research:

My research focuses on the taphonomy and paleoecology of fossil land snails from the full-glacial period (~21,000 to 15,000 14C yr BP) in the Driftless Area of the Upper Mississippi River Valley. Pleistocene sediments in this region contain an abundant but relatively low diversity assemblage of gastropod fossils that have been overlooked for over a century. Not because they don't exist; I have discovered more than two dozen new localities in Minnesota and Wisconsin that contain numerous fossils. Visit the links for more details.
