MINOCQUA, WI-  The Central  Division Nordic SES  was held at Minocqua Winter Park  on February 1 and 2, 2003.   Five members  from the Western Region  attended the event. Saturday was devoted to instruction by NSP PSIA staff and included  evaluation of  Senior Nordic candidates.  Sunday was spent with Dan Claussen, PSIA  Nordic Demo Team,  refining both diagonal stride and skating techniques.  

Despite poor ski conditions, all would agree the seminar was a valuable learning experience.   Lastly, congratulations to Bob Iverson, Viking Nordic,  and Peter Wollan, Hiawatha Nordic, for passing their Senior Nordic ski proficiency requirement!

Nordic Refresher

A new definition of "double polling"?   Actually its a training exercise teaching 1st time skaters the feel of  shifting  weight from ski to ski.
