Fall Meeting a success.
LANESBORO - Steeplechase Ski and Snowboard Patrol hosted this year's Fall meeting at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center near Lanesboro, Minnesota. The weekend began with the Western Region BOG meeting Friday evening and the introduction of newly elected Section Chiefs: Lyle Johnson and David "Sharky" Squires. Formal Saturday activities included educational lectures, NSP courses, and evening banquet and awards presentations. Recreational activities enjoyed by attendees were: rock climbing, nature walks, and visiting/shopping at historic Lanesboro and other towns along the Root River Trail. Cool weather and forecast rain dampened other's plans for bicycling the Trail.
