- The 2006 Senior Examiner's Clinic was held at Coffee Mill Ski
Area on January 7 & 8, 2006. Several ski areas in the
Region were
represented and we had a total of 18 examiners, examiner hopefuls, and
Jane Mausser, Proficiency Supervisor for the Western Region, as well as
Tom Gray, Western Region Director. The Coffee Mill patrol
building held them all very comfortably.
Phil Montville from Wild Mountain had a great skiing presentation with help from Jim Andrews from Hyland. Both are PSIA Level III instructors. What a bonus for the Western Region! Presenting for the toboggan portion were Instructor Trainers Bob Moe from Christie Mountain, from Coffee Mill, John Thomas from Welch and Jeff Gullickson from Buck Hill.
Tom Gray showed us a new technique for throwing the lift evacuation rope over the chair and is demonstrated by Rachael Brandt, daughter of Dean and Terrie Brandt of CM.
The clinic was well organized and the clinicians did a super job of presenting. Mike Prigge, CMPR
