We need a lot of volunteers - patients, evaluators, advocates, station managers, bystanders, etc... We have a large number of candidates this year (YEAH!) and the more help the better. Patients, station managers, and bystanders are always needed; and there are no special prerequisites for these important roles. We are always looking for Seniors (or patrollers who have passed the OEC Senior evaluation) who are also OEC instructors to help out as evaluators and advocates. Anyone interested in becoming an evaluator or advocate must also complete an evaluator clinic by participating as an evaluator or advocate for a full day at one the pre-courses.
Here are the dates of the 2001 OEC Senior pre-courses and evaluation:
Please contact Mary Pritchett with availability or if you have any questions. Your help this year will really be appreciated. ...and it's a lot of fun too!
Thank you very much.
Jim Ruzicka and Mary Pritchett.
PS. If you've been thinking about the Senior certification -- helping out as
a patient, station-manager, or bystander is a great way to get the inside scoop
on what the OEC Senior is all about.
