Well it's that time of year again to get the clinics and exam staff organized. We have two clinics and two exams this year. The north clinic and exam will be at Giants Ridge and the south clinic and exam will be at Mount Frontenac. Please let me know which clinics and exams you will be attending so I can plan out the groups before hand (by 12/15/00). As always if your plans change and you can/cannot attend an event at the last minute, please call me ahead of the event and let me know. This makes the event run that much smoother.
Last year we had a mini academy with Phil Montville and we will have another one this year. Jim Andrews has been added as an instructor and both of them are creating a experience that I don't think we will forget for a long time. The weekend of January 6 and 7, 2001 is scheduled. If you want to be an examiner this year you need to attend this event. This event will continue to build on what we started last year, what to look for when testing, EDMA, and personal skiing to improve demos. We will hold this event at Wild Mountain. Phil and Jim would like to put us on snow blades for a 1/2 day and they have worked out an agreement with Wild Mt to provide them for us. I need an official count of who will be there since we have a limit of 20, so sign up early. The start time for this event will be 8:00 AM both days and we will have a working on supper on Saturday to review the day's video taping. This event will be in plain jackets (NO Patrol parkas).
If you cannot attend the mini academy and would like to remain on the list of examiners for next season (2001-2002) you will need to attend one of the clinics. This will keep your skills refined and maintain the same level of expectations as all of the other examiners.
