20-21	Sat-Sun	Instructor Development Course (NSP Course #15313) - 1:00PM - 4:45PM Sat., 9:00AM - 12:30PM Sun. (Held at Welch Village Ski Area in conjunction with the WR Fall Meeting.) The course is a requirement for anyone who wishes to be an NSP instructor (OEC, Emer. Transport (Toboggan), Avalanche, MTR, Instructor Development, etc.), and it also counts as a Senior elective. Course fee is $10.00, please make checks payable to Western Region Ski Patrol. Participants will need to obtain a copy of the textbook "Instructor Development-Training the Adult Learner" from the NSP on-line catalog (catalog item #502, $19.50 plus postage.) 6-7	Sat-Sun	2008 Central Division Alpine Clinic at Welch Village put on by Central Division Trainers. This is a WIN, WIN, WIN situation. We have a chance to work with Division ski and toboggan trainers on sharpening our skills and get in sync with the rest of the Division. The trainers get a chance to move around the Division and meet us where we ski. We all get a chance to learn and teach with each other. Remember there is always room to improve our ski and toboggan training and bring that back to our own hills to share. We are asking that each area sends their Patrol Representative and a trainer to this event. Senior Ski and Toboggan Testers should also attend as well as any other interested patrollers.
