Elections for 2001

This year we are electing Section Chiefs for Sections 2 and 5 and a Region Director. The qualifications for the positions are listed in the 2000 - 2001 Edition of the NSP Policies and Procedures Manual on pages 67 and 68 and are reproduced in part here.

Region Director:

(Ballots will be mailed to each Section Chief and Patrol Representative.*
The successful candidate is the one who receives a simple majority of votes cast.)

Section Chiefs: Sections 2 and 5

(Ballots will be mailed to each Patrol Representative in the designated Section.*
The successful candidate is the one who receives a simple majority of votes cast.)

Qualifications for candidates for the positions of Region Director and Section Chief shall be those outlined in the National Ski Patrol Policies and Procedures Manual for the years 2000 – 2001. (see your Patrol Representative, or contact the RD, ARD or your Section Chief)

* Number of votes per patrol:

Registered patrollers         Voters
2 – 50 Patrol Representative
51 – 100 Patrol Representative + 1 additional representative
101 – 150 Patrol Representative + 2 additional representatives
151 + Patrol Representative + 3 additional representatives

(Each representative must be an active member of the Patrol with two or more years of service within the Region. The names and addresses of these representatives shall be made known to the Division and/or Region election coordinator no later than February 1st of the election year.)
