- What do I have to do to receive my
Western Region Patroller, Central Division Rusty Parka News,
and the Ski Patrol Magazine at my new address? I haven't received the
latest issue, or I'm missing some issues...
First, if need be, let's get you that missing issue. One of the following

- Second, as mentioned above, you can get your address information squared

The National Office is the "key spot" where all of our membership information
is maintained. This "one-stop shopping" service provides several
benefits to us and to the organization.
- We have to remember only one place to go to make an address change.
- We are assured that the Ski Patrol Magazine, Division, and Region newsletter
mailings will go to all members in good standing with NSP. Maintaining separate
mailing lists is not necessary, and in fact, the editors of Western Region
Patroller, and Central Division Rusty Parka News obtain their
mailing lists directly from the National Office.
- The National, Division, and Region mailing lists include registered Alumni
Patrollers.
- The National Office staff are there to efficiently serve our needs; let's
utilize their expertise.
Simply click
here to go to the new NSP On-line Member Services and make the change(s)
directly. Have your member ID number handy.
- If the problem or your question is one of these...
- "I need a replacement membership card.",
"There's a mistake on my membership card."
(...or something is missing.),
"I'm not able to print my membership profile information
record. I would like to have a copy of it sent to me.",
...click
here to send an e-mail note to MIST.

catalog number and price for the OEC text, or for some other NSP publication.
- I need a catalog order form, or would like to see the on-line product descriptions,
shipping
information, return policy, or sizing charts for items sold in the
NSP Winter Catalog.

- I have some other question to ask someone in MIST (Member Information and
Services Team).

MIST.
- I need a copy of one or more forms, or
an NSP publication.
- Current versions of the following forms and publications can be printed or
downloaded from the NSP National Web site:
- Award Nomination Forms
- The current OEC Refresher Study Guide
- National Board of Directors Meeting Updates
- Policies and Procedures Manual
- Patrol Officer Bulletins
- Education Forms
- National Registration Forms
- Winter Catalog Order Form
|
Most of these downloadable forms and publications are available
in both MS Word 2003 format and "PDF" (Adobe Acrobat Reader)
format. The MS Word 2003 version can be completed and edited as you would
any other MS Word 2003 document. If you don't have MS Word 2003, choose
the "PDF" format, print the form via the Adobe Acrobat Reader,
and complete the form by hand.
To access the most current versions of these documents,
click
here to log in to the NSP On-line Member Services.
After logging in, choose Member Resources, then
My Bookshelf from the Member Links from the
drop-down menu, and select the
document, or choose Downloads
from the Reference & Resource Materials section. Select
the nomination form, and save the file. |
We also make a couple of special nomination forms available through our Web
site. These forms (marked with an asterisk) are not available from the
NSP National Web site. If you need one of these forms, you should download it
from this site.
Some of the forms listed below are in MS Word 97 format document files and will
be downloaded to your computer. The others you would simply display and print
directly from your browser. (These display-only forms were prepared using
800x600 (SVGA) display screen resolution. For best results, have your browser
window maximized to full-screen.)
MIST
We've added this section to our Member Services page in order to provide
patrollers in the Western Region with a convenient way to access the NSP Member
Information and Services Team (MIST). The MIST has been in existence for some
time, and the services provided are well documented in the NSP Web site. Those
who may not be familiar with the NSP MIST; didn't realize that they are accessible
via the NSP Web site; or have had trouble accessing MIST - may find this page
helpful.
As the name implies, the MIST is there to help us. In general, they are
available to NSP members via e-mail (mist@nsp.org),
phone (303-988-1111), or fax (800-222-4754) to answer questions about NSP
events, courses, membership status, Winter Catalog product information and
orders, NSP policies and procedures, and a host of other topics. Over 200
members use this service each day. More information about MIST can be accessed
via the NSP Web site; "Benefits
of Membership" and "Who's
Who; Roster of Leaders".
One very important member service mentioned above is the maintenance of the
NSP member database. In addition to membership status, other essential information
pertaining to our membership in NSP is maintained for us in this database.
Perhaps you didn't know that you have a record. :-) (It's a good record; one
to be proud of.) The NSP calls our record the "membership profile."
And you can see it on-line, review it, print it, or have one sent to you anytime
you wish. In fact, NSP has someone on the staff whose official duties include,
among other responsibilities, maintaining the database and keeping our information
current. Some changes, such as address, phone numbers, e-mail address, and
even name changes, are updated automatically for us each year after we register
with the NSP and pay our dues. (Payment of dues is noted also, by the way.)
Other information, such as our status (e.g. Alpine, Nordic, Auxiliary, Basic,
Senior, Certified, Alumni), instructor certification(s), and NSP continuing
education coursework completion (including dates), is maintained for us as
well. Our familiar membership cards provide a brief summary of the essential
information. If you request a copy of your membership profile, NSP
can send it to you by fax, e-mail or regular mail.
As mentioned above, we are all able to make changes to our address, phone
number, name, and e-mail information directly. However, if you spot any errors
in your membership profile regarding your entry date, status, continuing education
coursework, etc., or believe that information is missing, please follow this
procedure:
- Print a copy of your membership profile using the
On-line
Member Services, or send a request to MIST for a copy.
- Have your Patrol Representative (Director) make the appropriate changes
and forward the corrections to NSP.
- NSP will make the changes that the Patrol Representative has approved.
