From the Twin Cities:
Go south on Hwy 52 past Zumbrota about 1 mile, exit on Hwy 60 east (to Mazeppa).
Go approx. 5 miles to County Road 1 and turn right (south). If you cross the river
into Mazeppa you have gone too far. Go south approx. 4 miles (?) - the road will make
a 90 degree turn to the left and then a turn to the right a mile later (watch for a
small Steeplechase road sign). Where the road turns to the right go straight onto a
gravel road (T180). Go 1 mile to the stop sign and turn left (71). Go 1 mile to where
the road curves right and go straight - to the hill.
From the South:
Take Olmsted County Road 12 / Wabasha County Road 247 to Oronoco. Go north on County
Road 18 for 4.5 miles (road turns into Wabasha County Road 1) - the road will make a
90 degree turn to the left (watch for a small Steeplechase road sign) turn right at the
curve onto a gravel road (T180). Go 1 mile to the stop sign and turn left (71). Go 1
mile to where the road curves right and go straight - to the hill.
The chalet is at the top of the hill so you see little evidence of a ski area
until you are there.
