Excel voucher template download instructions for MS Internet
Explorer
Please read through these instructions before you initiate the download.
- After you click on the "Download now" link below, what happens next depends upon the version
of the IE browser you are using, specified download settings, and whether or not you have
Excel installed.
- If you have version 4 or later and have Excel installed, Excel will be
launched and the Excel voucher template will be displayed in your IE browser
window. To save it onto your computer, choose "File / Save as" from the
browser menu bar. Specify where (on your computer) you'd like to have the
Excel voucher template saved. (A good location might be in the "My Documents"
folder on your computer's hard drive.) Notice that the Excel voucher template
has the name "evoucher.xls". This will be the name of the voucher template
file after it has been downloaded and saved on your computer.
- If you have version 3 or do not have Excel installed, a small window may
appear with the title "File Download" overlaid by another window with the
title "Internet Explorer". Click on the "Save it to disk" radio button and
then the OK button.
- Another window will appear with the title "Save as...". Specify where
(on your computer) you'd like to have the Excel voucher template saved.
(A good location might be in the "My Documents" folder on your computer's
hard drive.) Notice that the Excel voucher template has the name "evoucher.xls".
This will be the name of the voucher template file after it has been downloaded
and saved on your computer.
- Once you have the destination folder selected (eg. "My Documents") and the file name
specified (eg. evoucher.xls), click on the "Save" button to start the download.
- Once you have saved the Excel voucher template, you can open it with Excel as you would
any other Excel spreadsheet file.
Please keep these points in mind when using the Excel template voucher:
- It is a good idea not to replace the blank voucher template once you've filled it in.
Instead of using "File / Save", use "File / Save as" and give your completed template a
new file name. Be sure to leave the .xls "extension" at the end of the file name. The
extension tells Windows that the file is an Excel spreadsheet.
- After you have completed and saved the voucher, print a paper copy.
- Sign the paper copy, and mail it using US MAIL to our Region Treasurer.
- Our by-laws require a signed copy. DO NOT send it via e-mail.
When you are ready to download the Excel voucher template, click on Download
