(Homepage, Education/Programs, Patroller/Instructor Resources) - Updated material for the Introduction to Patrolling (Patroller 101) course is now posted in our Region Web site - Jeannine Mogan, Roger Petry.

(Calendar) - The preliminary 2008-2009 calendar is posted.

(Roster) - The 2008 WR Election results have been announced!
Please welcome Matt Schmid as the new W-3 Section Chief.
Please welcome Dave Schaller as the new W-6 Section Chief.

A heart-felt "Thank you!" to Mark Cross and to Mary Sapp for your years of service to our Region as Section Chiefs! Matt and Dave will begin their duties July 1, 2008.

(Newletters) - The Spring 2008 issue of the Western Region's Double Black Diamond Express is published and on file.

(Roster) - Please welcome Jim McLeod as the new NSP-C/PSIA Ski School Supervisor. A big "Thank you!" to both Jim Andrews for the many years that you worked on developing the Region Ski School, and Jane Mausser for your assistance. -- John (JT) Thomas.

(Roster) - Please welcome two new Patrols and Patrol Directors to our Region. Mount Kato and Great Bear are now part of the Western Region. Rich Krause and Billy Joe Heap are the respective PR's. Welcome Rich and Billy Joe! -- John (JT) Thomas.

(Roster) - Please welcome Tom Gray as the new Awards Supervisor. A big "Thank you!" to Mary Engstrom for many years of dedicated service. -- Tom Gray.

The on-line sign-up process for the Senior Program and events has been updated. Senior Candidates can sign up for the Senior Program, and select one or more precourses and the evaluation(s) all at one time. Terrie Brandt (Senior Program Coordinator) will receive a summary e-mailing, and each program supervisor of a selected event will also receive the patroller info. -- Roger Petry.

(Patrol Pages) - Another historic moment. The Buck Hill Patrol Web site makes its debut! Check it out via the WR "Patrol Pages" page - Kirsten Hammarberg.

(Newletters) - We had a rebirth, of sorts. Maggie Herman, with help from her husband, Michael, rekindled our Region's newsletter in a format similar to what it had in the 1990's. The Fall 2007 issue of the Western Region's Double Black Diamond Express is published and on file. A big "Thank you!" to Tom James, Tom Gray, and Peter Wollan who published our Region's newsletter issues between 2000 and 2007.
