MARATHON READING OF PARADISE LOST—YOU'RE INVITED!

The members of English 5331: Milton will host a marathon reading of John Milton's Paradise Lost on Saturday, April 27 in 351 Kirby beginning at 9 am.

That's right—from 9 am to ???, we will take turns reading Milton's epic aloud and in its entirety. (The 1999 Milton Marathon took about 9 hours.)

If you'd like to help us reach our goal, please stop by and contribute a reading of a line, passage, book, etc. or just listen. Have you ever wanted to play God or Satan? Now's your chance!

Will the arch-fiend Satan defeat God's plan to repopulate Heaven? Will Eve eat from the forbidden Tree of Knowledge? Is Adam man enough to save her? Do angels embrace? Do they eat and digest food? Does God have a sense of humor? Find out the answers to these questions and oh, so many more as we read aloud "Of Mans First Disobedience. . . ."

If you have any questions, please email Paul Cannan at pcannan@d.umn.edu. We hope to see you there!
