PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE


1993 to Present - Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Natural Resources Specialist, Senior - Ecologist (Aquatic Biologist). Coordinated efforts to identify, protect, and restore habitat with state, federal and Canadian agencies. Chaired Area Integrated Resource Management Team. Designed and completed habitat restoration projects. Secured project funding from external sources in excess of $1.1 million.

1987 to 1993 - Natural Resources Research Institute. Research Assistant 1987-1991, Assistant Scientist 1991-1993. Directed research project involving avian and invertebrate community ecology. Supervised as many as three employees. Collected and Analyzed ecological data. Wrote technical reports and professional journal publications.

1991 - Duluth Community College Center. Instructor. Lectured and taught laboratory section of Environmental Science. One quarter.

1990 and 1991 - Department of Biology, Univ. of Minnesota, Duluth. Teaching Assistant. Two quarters of Ornithology. Prepared and presented laboratory material. Planned and led field trips. Wrote introductory statistical booklet for student use. Assisted in the preparation and presentation of lecture material. Designed and administered lab exams.
