Conclusion and Evaluation |
James H. Fetzer, Symposium Chair |
Jack White has near legendary status as a student of the assassination's photographs and films. He was an expert for the House Select Committee during its reinvestigation of the case in 1977-78 and served as an advisor to Oliver Stone in producing the film, "JFK," which was released in 1992.
David Healy was stationed with the US Army Military Assistance Advisory Group in Saigon, where he was the first to hear the news of the assassination of JFK. He has an extensive background in video and film, with more than 30 years in video and film production and post-production.
John Costella, PhD, is a physicist and engineer with a background in optics, the properties of light, and the mechanics of moving objects. He has recently begun to apply his expertise to the analysis of the film with significant results. For additional information, go to www.ph.unimelb.edu.au/~jpc.
David W. Mantik, PhD, MD, a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist, is the leading expert on the medical evidence in this case. He has done ground-breaking work in studying the autopsy x-rays with optical densitometry, a type of investigation never before performed, and has conducted extensive work on the Zapruder film.
David S. Lifton, author of the classic, Best Evidence (1980), a New York Times' best seller and a Book of the Month Club Selection nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in history, has made pioneering and enduring contributions to the study of the medical evidence and of the Zapruder film. He participated as an invited guest at the 1995 ARRB "experts' conference" and has lectured widely on his JFK research.
| Symposium Chair, James H. Fetzer, is McKnight University Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He has published over 20 books and more than 100 articles and reviews in the philosophy of science and on the theoretical foundations of computer science, artificial intelligence, and cognitive science. His video, JFK: The Assassination, the Cover Up, and Beyond, and his books, Assassination Science and Murder in Dealey Plaza, have received international acclaim. For additional information about new JFK research, go to www.assassinationscience.com. |
