CHESTER STREAM

A cold winter day
the chilling breeze kisses my cheeks
flurries ae falling
lightly landing on the Earth.

The stream water
gently flows by me.
The noise of the water traveling downstream
creates a peaceful relaxed feeling inside me.

As the days get colder
the ice grows thicker.
The water will soon be covered.
The freezing cold water
stings my fingertips and sends chills up my spine.

Insects which inhabit the stream
sit on the rocks hardly making a scene.
As night falls upon me
everything quiets down and almost comes to a halt.

The darkness of the sky
makes the snow look like a downward glow.
