Spring 2009 Writ 1120 Sections 53/54
Lecture: Tuesday, Labovitz 265, 9:30-10:45
Lab: Thursday, Humanities 470, 9:30-10:45
The following syllabus outlines a tentative schedule for the class. While I may announce some additional reading and homework assignments as we go along I typically note the change both in class and by email. To stay informed be sure to check your UMD e-mail account daily, at a minimum. Under the column “Assignment Due,” bolded text indicates a final due date--you'll turn in a final version to me on that day--whereas non-bolded items reflect a draft that you'll need to bring for peer review. The textbook abbreviations are as follows: “OR” stands for “Online Reserves;” “ PH” is The Brief Penguin Handbook ; “ CW ” is your gray College Writing textbook and “ AP ” is What Every Student Should Know About Avoiding Plagiarism.
