Nigel Wattrus of the Large Lakes Observatory & Dept. of Geological Sciences here at UMD is interested in finding a bright undergrad who might be interested in working with him on a UROP project. Specifically he's looking for a student to develop a near real-time display of seismic data downloaded from remote stations via the internet. He already has tools that allow him to download the data and save it on local disk. The problem comes in taking that data and generating a graphical display.
