Expectations:
Students are expected to set-up chairs and stands prior to the start of all rehearsals and concerts, and to rearrange the stage to its prior condition after the rehearsal/concert.
Students will come to rehearsal properly equipped (instruments, music, pencils...).
Students will maintain their instrument(s) in proper playing condition.
Students will individually practice their parts to guarantee a productive rehearsal.
Students will familiarize themselves with the proper terminology necessary to communicate musical ideas.
Students will attend all rehearsals.
Students will learn to listen to one another and rehearse musically and cooperatively.
Students will conduct themselves professionally on stage during concerts.

Concert dress:
Men: Black tuxedo, white shirt, black bow tie, black socks and shoes. (No black jeans!)
Women: Floor-length black dress or slacks, long-sleeved black top, black shoes, black stockings (backless gowns, mini-skirts or tights are absolutely unacceptable).
Men and Women: Tasteful jewelry to complement the outfit a plus! Noisy and excessive jewelry is discouraged. Subtle cologne/perfume, preferably none!

Course Grading and Evaluation:
Every student will be evaluated at every rehearsal. Attendance to all rehearsals is mandatory. Half of the grade will be based on the ability to show-up at the scheduled times and places. Excessive absences will jeopardize the passing of the course. Grades will be lowered a full letter for every unexcused absence.
