George Rustad bought the Maxwell back in the early 1930's during the depression for 25 dollars. He bought the car from a salesmen from cities after the car broke down in the country. George and his buddies would pitch in a couple cents for gas and take it to the lake. During World War II when George was in the pacific, the car was hidden in an old barn by his mother, the government wanted all the old cars for the brass and copper. The Car has been his pride and joy for almost 75 years. |
