Michael Lerner (1996)  The Politics of Meaning


Michael Lerner

  Michael Lerner studied at the Jewish Theological Seminary in NYC and was mentored by Abraham Joshua Heschel.  He received a Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley in 1972 and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the Wright Institute in 1977.  In 1986 he launched TIKKUN Magazine.

Rabbi Lerner is the author of several books, including The Politics of Meaning (1996), Jewish Renewal: A Path to Healing and Transformation (1995), and Spirit Matters (2000).  He is currently the rabbi of Beyt Tikkun synagogue in San Francisco and Berkeley California.
