A RECURSIVE FINAL EXAM

A student in a chemistry class found the following question as the entire final exam: "Make up a question suitable for a final exam in this course, and then answer it." After brief thought, the student wrote the following:

"The question I believe is suitable for a final exam in this course is, 'Make up a question suitable for a final exam in this course, and then answer it.' My answer to this question is what you are reading here."

In the story, at least, the professor had no alternative but to give the student an A.
