Anthropologist ,Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Minnesota Duluth

She received her PhD from the University of Minnesota in 1986. She teaches Cultural Anthropology, Women in Cross-Cultural Perspectives, The Anthropology of India, Qualitative Research Methods, History of Anthropological Theory, and International Development: Women and Population.
Sharon's current anthropological research is on dog sledding; it's history, current practices and international connections. Previously she has conducted studies in India and the American Educational System.
