A DC Series Motor is connected to a 230 Volt DC source, draws 40 Amps of current and

drives a dynamic load at 1500 RPM.  Its armature winding resistance is 0.2 Ohms and its

series field winding resistance is 0.1 Ohm.  Voltage drop across the brushes is 3 volts.

 

Find: a)   The armature back-emf, Eb

         b)  The developed power, Pdev

         c)   The efficiency of the motor, h, if Rotational losses account for 200 Watts
