Wheelchair accessible trail maps -developing maps of level of accessibility in park trails in Duluth
School district transportation routing efficiency - investigate ways the school district might save money on transportation of students in the district by way of routing efficiency and fleet management
Wind Resource Development in the Minnesota Coastal Zone - Project aimed at monitoring the wind at 8 sites along the northshore of Lake Superior from Duluth to Grand Portage, using the data to develop a high resolution wind resource map of the region, and working with several communities interested in developing their wind resource.
Duluth Lighting Project - Project to map out the intensity of street lighting in Duluth, MN. The study will result in an interactive map of the city showing over (light pollution) and under (visibility too low) lighted areas.

Measuring spatial segregation - Custom programming and application development for spatial statistical methods for investigating segregation and diversity in metropolitan areas
The Consortium for Atlantic Regional Assessment - gathering and presenting data on climate, land use and demographics to allow decision makers to make better informed decisions in the northeast US. Current and past trends were analyzed, as well as future simulations and scenarios.
Hydrologic Forecasting for Characterization of Non-linear Response of Freshwater Wetlands to Climatic and Land Use Change in the Susquehanna River Basin - assessing conditions for wetland existence and there possible alteration under varying disturbance scenarios such as climate or land use change. Integrated hydrologic model runs conducted to model wetlands.
Pediatric ambulatory care sensitive conditions research project - assess racial and socioeconomic disparities in the utilization and costs of children’s health services
Critical Mass Homeless Populations - identifies metropolitan neighborhoods with emergency and transitional shelters that house substantial concentrations of homeless people. Census data and GIS methodology are used to examine locational and other characteristics of these "critical mass" neighborhoods in 2000 and to document any changes in them since 1990.
