: I'm not sure ignorance is the reason we do not see eye to eye nor do I believe that ignorance is the reason for people bashing races or gender differences. People are judgemental or racist because they have very stong feelings towards balcks or women for example. Are you saying that If I am not racist I must not be Ignorant? Here's a hypathetical situation. Roles in rasicm can reverse right so here's an example; An Indian man hates this caucasian woman because her ancestors were the one's who had his grandfather executed for defying certain laws. Now this man is hardly ignorant, he has feelings and these feelings are true. I think moral character has everything to do with racism or not being able to except gender differences. I, as an individual in todays society do not belive that there is a better race and women should be treated equal to me Yet, just as if this were backwards and I was racist those are my feelings and correct or not society has a changed but to get a hold of someones beliefs, someone's soul would then maybe whipe out racism but until then lets take making our world a more equal place, one step at a time. Accusing people of being ignorant will solve nothing.
: Some of my final thoughts:
: With everything we have talked about in this class and any other class for that matter, I have come to a conclusion. I may be wrong but these are my thoughts, whether they are right or wrong. I truely believe that the root of all the evil on this earth comes down to one factor....Ignorance. It is ignorance that keeps us all from seeing eye to eye. It is because of ignorance that some people believe that one race is better than the other. We all know deep down that no one is better than another. It is because of ignorance that one gender is seen as more powerful. It is because of ignorance that religions are fought over, land is fought over, people are fought over, our earth is fought over. Without eachother we couldn't survive. I just hope that one day education will become our savior and we all can start living together. Because to me that is why we are here on this earth, to work and live...together...EQUALLY.
