: After reading the two texts of the Darwin and Marx, I believe that the two differnertiate from each other greatly.
However both of them represent different revolutions of their time. marx with the communist revolution and Darwin
with the progression of man revolution. Both of these revolutins tie in with the movie "The French Lieutenants Woman"
and the revolutin of human progession that goes on in the film. I believe that Marx was wxtremely wrong in the
communist manifesto. The piece by Marx theororizes the fact that all men are not only created equal but no mater
what, they will always be equal. I strongly disagree with this notion. Ibelieve that the more we compete against each
other, the better race we will become. If I as an individual have no inspiriation to be better than Joe Schmo, then I
have no reason to get a better grades than him por apply myself more. THis is the difference with the Darwin theory,
in which I will want to do better just so I can reproduce better, and the stronger survive and the weaker do not.
You see, in communism nobody owns anything, but they do own something very important, their person. Everyone owns
themselves, and that being the case, they own all their thoughts. The working man/woman owns all of the scars, and
brusies on their person. The simple fact that they will compete to better themselves is enough competition for all.
"WORKING MEN OF ALL COUNTRIES, UNITE"
What good is competing with someone if you are sure you can win? Think back to the time of Lords and Serfs. When
the Kings ruled and the Peasents lived in poverty. Do you think that the poverty striken land flourshied because of
compitition? Of course not. It got people killed, and people starved to death because the lords would not give anything
away, for they feared that they would become poor in doing so. People went to war over land that wasn't anybodies.
They wanted to better themselves, and their monarchy. I believe that communism could work, and it will eventually be a
wide-spread government. You said you read two writtings by Karl Marx. Which included the Communist Manifesto. Did
you wappen to read anything by Engles? You do know that he helped write the manifesto don't you? You see... if you visit
