What is sacred to Americans is a good question. I think there are a few odd things that are sacred to Americans. For one, I was watching A show about the movie Red Dawn, you know the movie where the russians invade the USA and Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen live up in the mountains and blow up russians and call themselves wolverines, any how there was a test aduience for that film before they released it and they found the part that people thought was most offensive is when a russian tank drove through the Mcdonalds drive through and then blew it up, they edited that part out. That blew my mind, holyshit, Mcdonalds means more to people than i would have believed, Mcdonalds is sacred to the people of the USA. Its is a symbol of America, people are proud of it regardless if you really like the place or not. I remember one of the first new American things in the USSR was a Mcdonalds, i looked at that Mcdonalds as a symbol of freedom for those people. So Mcdonalds is sacred to Americans,
I hope that makes people feel better! One thing that I disagree with is what you said about Jews. Yes the Jewish people have a culture centered around there faith and thats fine with me, but what I don't agree with is how you were saying we don't have any religion to bind us toghther and I m glad we don't. We figured out in Europe that having religion run your life didn't work, that was one of the founding principles of this country that religion didn't have a part in government and diffrent religions could live here. I kind of like this anarchy of finding God my own way(the right way I believe)and not having to have a powerhungry organization tell me how to believe in God. I like the fact that in this country I can move where ever i want and I won't be persecuted by the law for religious beliefs. I also like the fact that i can go way out into the woods and do what ever the hell I want because there are no laws out there, and people take care of each other so they can do whatever the hell
they want to. That what I love about the Northland I guess but I think living like that is the way to be, doing my own thing with no culturAl boundaries, or religious one, I just want to live my damn life how I see fit not how other see it.
