: One last little story, I had the opportunity two summers ago to go skydiving. $150 to jump out of an airplane 10,000 feet in the air, two miles up folks, this was the real deal. Three of my friends and I drove to Hutchinso form Mankato on a thursday morning for an 11 o'clock jump time. We didn't what to expect, if there would be classes or not or what the story was going to be but we got there at 10:45 and walked into a very chill, carpeted airplane hanger where the operation was run out of. On the way up there was a discussion about whether or not we should smoke a couple of bong loads, I was completely against it. Everyone else kept saying, "could you imagine what it would be like if you were baked though?" I can't even imagine what it would be like sober. Anyway, we didn't and after watching a 15 minute video, that was our class, we suited up into our jump suits, I guess you could call them and went over some practice things with an instructor. Only two people could go up at a time so me and my friend Todd volunteered to be first. We hopped into the plane and soon we were off, climging into the sky. Now, I was not afraid at all up to this point, I really wasn't, but as we kept going higher and higher ABOVE the clouds and above more clouds all I could do was laugh, honestly I didn't know what the hell I was getting myself into. The plane ride took forever and dammit I mean it took us about 25 minutes to get two miles into the air. Finally the instructor said it was time to go and I was first. Still not scared just heart pounding out of my chest. Then he opened the door and 10,000 feet of wind and noise filled the plane. I peeked out and just about lost it. Then I sucked it up and holding onto the door and a bar mounted on the bottom of the plane stepped out onto a step about as big as the mouse on this computer. Then it was a 1........ ..........2.............3............. jump and I let out the biggest shriek you would have ever heard. I was screaming like a little girl while falling 130 mph out of the sky. Then I just calmed down all of the sudden and started to fly and I mean if you've ever done it you can really fly and manuever yourself in the air. Absolutely incredible after a 45 second free fall the parachute opened and I floated two minutes to the groud not really thinking about anything but the most incredible thing I had ever done in my life. After everyone had jumped, we got back into the car to head home and my buddy asked if any one wanted to smoke a bong, when it got passed to me I simply said HELL NO! It's worth all the money in the world, try it you ever get a chance.
