: What Brandon said about "listenting" to music, I can totally relate to. Drugs such as marijuana and acid can heighten your senses to get a better feel of what you are hearing. Once I had eaten mushrooms and did nothing but sit in my car and listen to the Beatles. I had taken Jazz Studies last year, and learned about "tunnel listening." It's where you just listen to one instrument at a time, get the rhythm of each one, and then blend them all together. That's when music started to make SENSE to me. What each member of the band was trying to say, in their own words, through the instruments that they were playing. Of course the drugs were in my system, but even now I get the chills when I know I'm hearing really good music. Because there has always been music, but when you find yourself getting the chills from heasring something wonderful, that's MUSIC.
